Value Added Services
In addition to providing electric service, Niobrara Electric also provides the following value added services:
- Energy Audits: NEA provides free home energy audits to any customer who wants one. By using a blower door situated in the entry to your home, NEA can pinpoint where you need to seal cracks or add insulation.
- Rebate Programs: Energy Efficiency Credits (Rebates) are available from Niobrara electric and Tri-State G&T for the purchase of certain electric water heaters and geothermal heat pumps. Tri-State G&T also offers credits for the purchase of new electric motors and other types of electric heat. Be sure to call NEA before you buy. NEA also stocks super efficient water heaters with lifetime warranties.
- Other Programs:
- Main Street Messenger. NEA will assist the Niobrara Senior Center with their current program of setting up elderly residents of Niobrara county with medical alert phones and pendants. Residents outside Niobrara County can contact NEA directly for this service as well. Anyone with questions on how the systems work or the costs involved can contact Sheldon Albertson or Jim Barker at Niobrara electric in Lusk at (307) 334-3221 or (800) 322-0544.
